The Rockies and High Plains Vector-Borne Diseases Center (RaHP VEC) is a CDC-funded "Training and Evaluation Center", or "TEC" focusing on vector-borne diseases in the Rockies and High Plains region, specifically Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, and the panhandle region of Texas. We host summer undergraduate and master's student interns at local mosquito control districts, public health agencies, and academic institutions to provide broad training in all (or many) aspects of vector-borne disease control and prevention. Here, you will find weekly blog posts from our interns describing their experiences and reflecting on the experiences of other interns in our region and throughout the country.
